  • Work is the activity that is done to fulfil a purpose
  • Through work, man creates a new identity for himself.

  • To do any work, a person needs many abilities and qualities.

  • Any work that is useful for understanding

Difference between job and career


Job

  • In a job, a person fulfils the dreams of his boss.
  • For a job, a person has to go to the office regularly.
  • Any type of loss during work can result in loss of job.
  • In a job, a person only has to achieve the targets set by the company.



Career 

  • Livelihood refers to the means and occupation  by which a person fulfills his basic needs,   maintains his lifestyle and fulfils his dreams.
  • There is no fixed income  in this career, the person is his own boss.

  • Man and machine complement each other;  the workplace and the machines and equipment used there are designed in such a way  that the people using them do not face stress and health related problems.
  • Example: If a person does office work by sitting on a chair which does not conform to the ergonomic safety standards,  then after a few days, the person may develop back pain due to sitting on such a chair for hours.
  • According to the principle of good functioning, the height of the chair and the stand should be according to the height and body of the person working.  The legs of the chair should be such that the person does not fall.
